Charlotte, Indy - Targets for new renters
Zumper released their first ever migration report using search data to see where renters are most interested in moving to and where they are leaving from. Here are a few takeaways:
LA, NYC, Atlanta, Chicago & Philly were the top-five most searched metros.
Charlotte, Indianapolis & San Antonio were the top searched cities for renters moving outside/away from their current city.
Akron, Virginia Beach & Oklahoma City were the cities with the most searches leaving the metro area.
Phoenix & Las Vegas show up as high-targets for Southern California residents, while Bay Area residents target Chicago & NYC.
Most searches coming within Florida were to other Florida cities, perhaps a sign that Floridians really love their state!
The majority of Midwestern cities migrate amongst themselves.
